Currently I'm a jack-of-a-few-trades. Some you can hire me for. And some are hobbies and passions. Like cooking. Like eating...
Im also a married lady and mama to a sweet sweet little boy and small terrier who would like nothing more than to eat one another's food.
I started cutting hair long before I knew what I was doing and likely did more hair in my college dorm room than anything else. Rest assured, I know what I'm doing now. After 16 years in the industry cutting, coloring, and teaching, I know what I'm good at, what I love, and when to recommend something new. I love people and my sincere hope is that I can help you feel satisfied and comfortable in your own skin. These days you can find me at Lexington Place in San Francisco, Ca .
Those who know me personally know that music is my core passion. It is what drives me, mystifies me, and continues to call me to try harder and never give up. After leaving college to pursue a recording contract I went on to release my first album and tour in the states and Europe. I've since released 1 Ep, 2 singles/remixes and another full-length album in 2014 called Daze of Love. Daze has been critically acclaimed in the LGBTQ and singer-songwriter genres and won an Out Music Award in 2015. You can find all of my albums on iTunes, cdbaby, and the Karmenmusic web page.
For years I've been calling on the same few friends for help with advanced computer stuff. "HELP!!!" reads the occasional text. I know the panicked feeling well.
What's transpired, after years of being on the receiving end of tech support, is a deep appreciation for how frustrating it can feel to be confused by technology. I've developed a sensitivity to the dazed and confused and a desire to help problem-solve the confusion away. Much to my enjoyment I've become a kind of tech support line for my family. I know my limitations, and offer help in a few specific arenas, but I've observed that the stuff I know, and know how to explain, covers a lot of folks needs.
